The 12th annual Ladybug Ball was held last Saturday, April 2nd at Southdown Plantation. The South Louisiana Wetlands Discovery Center and Remax Realty put on a wonderful event!
Congrats to them for a record crowd!

This is such a cute event for kids to come play and learn about the environment.
Here is what I learned at the event:
- Ladybugs eat small garden-destroying pests like aphids and even discourage birds and other large pests from consuming your crops. And they are completely harmless to humans! Who knew such a cute little bug could be so helpful!
- Kids dressed as ladybugs are quite possibly the cutest thing I've ever seen.
- That being said, do not try to get in the way of a kid trying to get to a ladybug. They will knock you over.
